Industry Night Video

A short video of Industry Night that took place at the College Street Bar on December 16, 2010. There were awesome performances by Triston Maurice (www.strictlystreetmusic.com), LOC.NES (www.locnesbeats.com) and Spankbox (www.monomachina.com).

This is my first attempt at compressing HD video for the web. It was shot on an iPhone 4 because the batteries on my Canon T2i ran out. Thanks to Reazhun for coming through with the iPhone.

Industry Night Photos

Once again thanks to everyone who came out to the first Industry Night. It was an amazing vibe, with sexy people and AWESOME music! I've put together a small slideshow of photos. Unfortunately my camera was running low on battery power so we weren't able to get many. (NOTE: If anyone else was there taking pics please send them to me).

If you don't have flash I've posted the jpgs below. Enjoy!

Hip Hop Meets Electronica

This is part one in an ongoing series of networking parties for musicians, producers, beat-makers, DJ's & music lovers.

It's an excellent opportunity to socialize and connect with other like-minded individuals while being entertained by unique and progressive artists who represent all facets of electronic music.

Best of all it's FREE!

This months focus is "Hip Hop Meets Electronica" featuring performances by:

Tristan Maurice
Smoothed-out soulful Hip Hop (www.strictlystreetmusic.com)

LOC.NES
Armed with samples and two Akai MPC sampling drum machines, LOC.NES resurrects dusty grooves for the dance floors of the new millennium. (www.locnesbeats.com)

Spankbox

Dropping minimal-electro-ghetto tech house beats powered by hardware grooveboxes. Spankbox booms with lots of vintage drum sounds and glitchy production. (www.monomachina.com)

Lunatics of Sounds
From Dark Electro, Tribal, Tech, Techno, Minimal and Progressive House, Lunatics of Sound are known to be crazy, wild, passionate, open minded, daring, movers and shakers. (www.lunaticsofsound.com)

Kensington Market Street Party

LOC.NES performs for the party people in Kensington Market
I performed an impromptu live set in Kensington Market this afternoon. Here are a few rough video clips of the show. The best part was all the people who came out in their costumes to dance the day away.

Thanks to Spankbox for supplying the stand, thanks to Toto for letting me use his power, thanks to my brother Sherwin for shooting these clips and a BIG thanks to all the beautiful people who came out and had fun!

Death Disco 5 Pics

Death Disco 5 was a huge success. The club was over capacity (WHOO HOOOO!). Big things are in the works for the future, but in the meantime here are some pics from the event. They were taken by Kevin Leung.

If you don't have flash installed you can view the images here.

A few pics from our (LOC.NES' & Spankbox's) guerilla set in Kensington Market (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).

The store owner was nice enough to let us use his power and even invited us to come back and play again on Halloween for a street party.
